Magnetic Window Blinds

In todays world, it pays to be on the safe side. This is especially true if you live in an area that isn't quite as nice as it used to be or have a lot of valuables you want to protect. One of the best safety features you can install is a steel door or two. These are usually used to replace doors that are primary entrances and exits to your home and are extremely tough. Odds are slim that some hoodlum is going to spend the time to cut through a steel door to enter your home. These doors are almost impossible to kick open if you have the accompanying steel door frame. The problem with steel doors is that you can't use traditional blinds on them. Luckily since they are made out of steel, anything magnetic will work just fine. Magnetic window blinds come in many different forms and are just as practical and attractive as traditional blinds.

Magnetic window blinds are very simple to install, you basically just stick one or two pieces onto your door above the window and you are done. If only other types of blinds could be as simple. The typical magnetic blinds are your standard horizontal blinds like you would use on any other door or small window. These let in light when you want and can be quickly turned flat for privacy and room darkening.

Magnetic blinds aren't the only option for a metal door though. You can also find magnetic curtain rods, hooks, and even holiday specific items such as magnetic wreath holders. This is all very convenient and won't leave your door full of nail or screw holes. The only thing you will have to worry about with decorations on the outside of your door is the possibility someone may walk off with them. The wind sure won't be a factor if the magnet is strong enough.

Magnetic blinds can be purchased at many different places. Typically these aren't very heavy so you can order them online without fear of dramatic shipping charges. Most retail stores will carry a small selection of magnetic blinds but it's a good idea to call first before taking a long drive for nothing.
